About us

Two childhood friends who met again by chance several years later, both pregnant with the same due date, marked the beginning of the KlompeLOMPE adventure. We spent many cozy evenings knitting together, which eventually developed into producing collections that were sold at craft markets and on our own blog. We received many requests from people who wanted the patterns for the garments. Because of this, we decided to create our own pattern booklets, and soon we had contracts with more than 100 shops across Norway to sell them.

During one of those lovely knitting evenings, each of us with a baby in our arms, we had the idea to send an email to a few publishing houses to ask if they might be interested in making a book with our patterns. We didn’t have high expectations of even getting a reply, so we were shocked when several publishers responded positively.

Now, here we are, 22 books later, with several international editions, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved. Just imagine—two friends getting to work together doing something that is also our favorite hobby!
